The "Collate" Repository features a selection of several thousands of film censorship-related documents from Austria, Czechoslovakia and Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. These documents were gathered from various archival sources in the framework of the EU-funded technology project "Collate: Collaboratory for Annotation, Indexing and Retrieval of Digitized Historical Archive Material".

Archival sources are: Bayerisches Hauptstaatsarchiv (Munich), Bundesarchiv (Berlin), Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv (Berlin), Deutsches Filminstitut - DIF (Frankfurt am Main), Filmarchiv Austria (Vienna), Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Berlin), Knihovna Právnické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy (Prague), Národní filmový archiv (Prague), Niederösterreichisches Landesarchiv St. Pölten, Národní knihovna České republiky (Prague), Österreichisches Staatsarchiv (Vienna), Sächsisches Hauptstaatsarchiv (Dresden), Státní ústřední archiv v Praze (since 1st January 2005 The National Archives, Prague).

Intensive research notwithstanding, not in all cases rights owners of texts and images could be found. We kindly request eventual rights claimants to report to Deutsches Filminstitut - DIF e.V. in Frankfurt am Main.
